Treat your taste buds to Margate's mix of restaurants: seafood, wood-fired pizza or authentic Thai dishes. If the weather’s fine, what's better than enjoying fish and chips beach-side, people-watching or waiting for the famous Margate sunset...

Broadstairs is home to two original 1950s Italian ice-cream parlours, alongside restaurants offering seafood, Chinese, Italian and Tapas, plus cafes and chip shops, traditional pubs, bars, and micro-pubs to add to the lively mix. Look out for one of the area's Michelin-Starred restaurants - 'Stark'

Ramsgate’s continental feel is perfect for alfresco dining with views over the Royal Harbour from restaurants, cafes and bars, offering a range of Greek, Italian, Turkish and Seafood specialties. Ramsgate also boasts Thanet’s only Russian restaurant…

Thanet's Villages offer lots of country pubs, cafes, and cosy restaurants across the Isle.

If you like ales and ciders, Thanet is the place to be! Gadds' The Ramsgate Brewery specialises in creating award-winning, fresh cask and bottle beers, supplied to the local bars and pubs. And that’s not all: check out Thanet’s Micro Pubs - we’ve got the highest concentration of these growing-in-popularity home-style pubs in the country...

Enjoy Thanet flavours at Quex Barn - where you’ll find a deli, butchers’, and wet fish stall alongside locally grown fruits and vegetables. Monthly Cliftonville Farmers Market combines locally grown, cooked, and produced food-stuffs. If you’re planning a picnic, stop off at one of the delicatessens opening up, for your supplies.

Serious foodies and casual tasters alike will enjoy Autumn’s annual Broadstairs Food Festival a three day celebration of meats, cheeses and breads, all washed down with Kent wines, ciders and ales. If that sounds good, don’t miss the Easter Thanet Beer Festival, showcasing the transformation of fine Kentish hops into an irresistible array of ciders, and ales.
