Looking out over the heart of the historic town, Ballard’s coffee lounge, named after the man who owned the hotel in Dickens’ time, transports guests back into a bygone era with its elegant atmosphere, illustrations of historic Broadstairs and stunning crystal chandeliers. It’s the perfect place to read the morning papers or catch up on life while watching the town.

Or why not head into Ballard’s Bar, where you can select from a comprehensive range of excellent local ales, international lagers and wines, accompanied by a menu carefully created by our chef, offering an exciting and varied menu to appeal to all tastes and appetites. And when the weather permits, why not drink in the view on the terrace and landscaped garden area, overlooking the beautiful Viking Bay.

The dining philosophy in our sea view à la carte restaurant, is to serve tempting, delicious dishes, using the freshest, locally sourced, seasonal produce. The menu captures the very best of modern English cuisine, with seafood a speciality.
