Don't be put off by the name!
Dumpton Gap has a quiet, sandy bay with a promenade and kiosk. It offers one of the best low-tide walking routes to Ramsgate, but always check the tide times before setting off...parts of the beach are cut off by the rising tide, and there is no way off the beach when this occurs.
Be Beach Safe. This means checking the weather and the tides, keeping an eye on your family, and not using inflatables. In an emergency, call 999 for the Coastguard.
Please remember, if you are visiting our beaches and bays, 'Respect, Protect and Enjoy' and leave only your footprints.
